ADULT TENNIS COACHING COURSESOur courses for adults are structured on three levels:
Level 1 courses are for players with little, or no, tennis experience. The course will primarily focus on technique and will help you to develop an understanding of the game and the four main strokes (serve, forehand, backhand and volley). The course provides support to help players develop their own style and learn about effective body movement for tennis. Level 1 courses may be taken more than once to establish a springboard to level 2. Level 2 courses are for players with a sound tennis background and for the ‘Rusty Rackets’ who have played tennis in the past and who want to get back up to speed. These players can play, sustain a rally, and score. The course will allow players to explore effective techniques and aim to develop confidence in playing points. Level 3 courses are for the more competent players with match play experience. These courses aim to develop the player’s tactical awareness, physical fitness and mental focus, using high impact training drills and match play. If you’re still unsure about which level is for you, please contact the Tennis Centre on 020 8871 4706 or talk to an All Star coach in person at the courts. *For the sake of continuity, priority will be given to players from 2009 termtime autumn courses for rebooking on the 2010 termtime summer sessions from 22nd February until 7th March. Bookings will be taken as they come, so we cannot guarantee exactly the same course. Vacancies will be listed at the Tennis Office after that date. Similarly, summer 2010 termtime course players have priority for booking autumn 2010 courses until 30th June. Evening and weekend courses are open bookings from 22nd February. All bookings are subject to our Terms of Business. Places on all courses are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel courses one week in advance of start date in the unlikely event of insufficient numbers. A full refund will then be given. |
